Student Candidacy

Expand Your Horizons!

We invite all interested 1Ls and 2Ls to come learn what it means to be part of the Denver Journal of International Law & Policy – a nationally recognized and ranked international law journal.  As a Staff Editor you can:

  • earn 1-2 credits per semester
  • contribute to the journal’s blog, The View From Above, for possible publication
  • gain greater proficiency with your Bluebooking skills and discover new sources that can help with future research projects
  • write a Survey Paper focusing on current international developments for possible publication

The write-on process comes in two parts.  Part I is a skills component testing your knowledge of the Bluebook and skills needed for cite and sourcing.  Part II is a written component in the form of a 3-5 page blog post.  Please join the “Denver Journal of International Law and Policy Candidacy” group on TWEN for the packets and further details.

We have three candidacy periods per year: Summer, Fall, and Spring.

2018-2019 candidacy dates:

Fall: August 17- August 27

Spring: January 11 – January 23

Summer: TBD
